Can't see file list in samba/cifs, but nfs can do it.

Post by mingsheu »

Dear Sir,

I had purchase ts-209 pro, then I got the some problem at samba/cifs, I can't see some files in list(Windows/Linux is the same), and look like only happen on "Qmultimedia" folder!

What's going on?

PS. Firmware is 1.1.1

## mount command

gentoo / # mount -t smbfs -o guest //192.168.1.2/Qmultimedia /media/smbfs/
gentoo / # mount -t nfs 192.168.1.2:/Qmultimedia /media/nfs/Qmultimedia/

Please let us know you can't see which file, if possible, please let us know the filename.
In /etc/config/smb.conf, you can see a "veto files" item. This is a list of files and directories that are neither visible nor accessible.
It is a special designed for Qmultimedia, due to system will generate thumbnails and we make it none-visible in SAMBA.
I am Kent. Nice to meet you!

Dear kent,

I had create music & video folder under "Qmultimedia", and contain 3 folders(ape, dts_cd & mp3), I can see all folders, but all files are none-visable, such as ape, jpg, cue, log & mp3.

Example:
"Qmultimedia/music/ape/Avril Lavigne/Under My Skin/CDImage.ape"

In video folder, some files are none-visable, such as avi(Xvid), mp4(x264), mpg, mkv ..., but some avi(xvid) files are visable!?

PS. I'm not modify smb.conf by SSH, and I lived in Taipei.
