For example, there is a file in Public. How can it be MOVED to Qdownload ?
I asked this question because I tried to access the file system of TS-109Pro with \\TurboStation on PC (Windows Vista). If I move a file from one folder to another, it seems that it takes a long time to COPY to and DELETE the original one.
I tried by logging into FTP and do DRAG and DROP from one folder to another. The file is moved at once.
I would like to know whether FTP - Drag and Drop is the only fastest way to do it.
Thanks
How can I move file from one folder to another folder?

We are working on adding the "move function" in Web File Manager. Before the updated firmware is available the "Remote Repliation" could be a work around. You may set up the destination as your local host (NAS) and the corresponding folers. Then you can move the files without going through long path of NAS->PC-> NAS.

1. Login to the main admin page
2. Go to System Tools> Remote Replication
3. Create a new replication job (Click "NEW")
then fill in "Remote Host IP Address" colume with the IP address of your NAS. And indidate the "Destination Path (Network Share/Directory) " to the share where you want to have the copy.
If you just want to do the one-time-copy, select "Replicate Now".
You can also use RR as a powerful tool for periodically backup.
Cheers,
