Qraid1-Synch stops at 0% // same-sized qraid1-usb-disk?

Post by oli4 »

I recently bought a TS-100 and am generally very statisfied with it... The only problem i got appears while trying to copy the disk-content to an attached external usb-II-drive using qradi1. Note: This external drive has not the same disk-space, but still enough to copy all the data on it. The external disk is recognized correclty and can be formatted (using both fomats, EXT and FAT). However, after the formatting has finished and the TS-100 starts synching, it stays at "0 %" for several hours until it gives up and throws out an error message. Have you heard about this behaviour? Do i need a Disk with the same size like the TS-100-Disk?

I really appreciate your help. Kind regards!

I have some questions:
1. What is the f/w version of your TS-100?
2. What is total data size in your TS-100?
3. How long that you are waiting for doing Q-RAID 1?

And you don't have to use the same disk size to do Q-RAID 1. But please make sure the external size is bigger enough.
I am Kent. Nice to meet you!

see some details about my system below:

Server Name
Server Name OLI4NAS

Date & Time
Date October 4, 2007
Time 4:50:5 PM
Time Zone (GMT+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna

Filename Encoding
Code Page Western Europe/Latin 1 (850)

System Information
Version 2.0.1 Build 0413

SATA Disk
Model: ATA SAMSUNG HD501LJ CR10
Total / Free size: 476940 MB / 277720 MB
Status: Ready

USB Disk
USB Disk 1 Manufacturer: SAMSUNG
Model: HD401LJ
Device Type: USB 2.0
Total / Free size: 381554 MB / 360005 MB
File System: EXT3
Status: Ready

I've also tried FAT as ext. File System.

After Formatting (works fine), the Disk starts synching but always shows "0 %" until it interrupts automatically after several hours (don't know how long it takes exactly - but pretty long.). I don't cancel anything manually...

The data to be copied takes about 200 GB...

Does this help to you?

Kind regards,
