Re: Camera request
We all need FOSCAM full support, but QNAP ignore that.
Why they can´t support FOSCAM like others?

Re: Camera request
I was just looking at cameras and wanted to go with foscam also. Seeing the amount of requests on here and the lack of qnap responses makes me think it probably isn't going to happen.

Re: Camera request
I am looking for a camera for a while now. Foscam FI8918W looks like the one to go for. I think Qnap support should listen to their customers!
The least they could do is give a response here in this topic. Maybe they are working on it........

Well, if they don't care, than I'm not going to care about spending any of my money to buy another QNAP product!
So, do you care about this QNAP???

Re: Camera request
I wrote already some posts on this subject and never got any reply from Qnap. I even wrote them personal mails but with the same result.
I have the impression they only added this feature to have people look deeper into their surveillance series. The VS looks really good but still no support for Mac users which is a real shortcoming.
These days Apple took a great chunck of the PC market. So support for mac is a must.
They do have an app for the iPhone and iPad. So the knowledge of the osx platform is definitly there.
So Qnap give us some options. Release a QPKG for a fee so we can enjoy more features.
I would like to see surveillance station support for more camera models and add on packages for more camera's (1 or 4 licences) depending on Nas model. Some have performance to support 40 camera's others only 4.
Forked-daapd would also be a nice extra since it supports appletv streaming without an itunes running.
