Q-RAID1 on TS-109
I have installed a 320G HD to TS-109 and has a spare 250G HD in an external USB 2.0 HD case. Right now I only have about 80G data in my TS-109. Does Q-RAID1 work if the sizes are different?

In your case, Q-RAID 1 works.
Please be reminded if you have over 250G data on the 320G HDD on NAS and configure Q-RAID 1 with the 250G external HDD, some data will be lost after Q-RAID 1 synchronization. Q-RAID 1 still works but an error message will be shown.
It is recommended to use an external HDD of the same size as the internal HDD on NAS.

Thanks for your quick reply. I assume when you are talking about data lost, it means the data from NAS cannot be copied to external HDD, not the data from NAS will be deleted. Am I right?QNAPRei wrote:Please be reminded if you have over 250G data on the 320G HDD on NAS and configure Q-RAID 1 with the 250G external HDD, some data will be lost after Q-RAID 1 synchronization.
