Memory Upgrade?

Post by Rick1486 »

First of all, hi everyone!

I've just placed my order for a TS209Pro and am expecting to receive it tomorrow along with 2x 400gb hard drives so I'm very happy about that as I'm sure this is a great product.

The question that I'm asking is can the 128mb ram in the PRO be upgraded as it can in say the Thecus n2100 which has a proprietary memory stick in a slot inside the device?

If so, would doing so invalidate the warranty, and if not, what specification ram may be used and what is the maximum ram supported by the TS209Pro?

Hope you can help.

Cheers
Rick

Hi Rick,

Thanks for choosing QNAP. Sorry to inform you that the RAM on TS-209 Pro is designed on-board. You cannot install more memory on it.

Thanks for letting me know. That's a shame the ram isn't upgradeable, might be one worth thinking about for the future designs.

Cheers
