Cheers Joachim,

We haven't planned to test Samsung HDD with our NAS models yet, but will take it into consideration. Thanks for your comments.

I've got 2 Samsung 500 GB SpinPoint T166 - 7200 rpm - SATA discs in raid, and it works flawlessly... I've previously had good experience with samsung harddiscs and since they got best in test in august 2007 pcworld, I thought I would give it a try :D

I am using Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3500630AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s with my Qnap ts-101.
May be it is quite hot and noisy, but otherway works great.

I'm using a Samsung SpinPoint T166 HD403LJ 400 GB 7200 rpm with my TS-109 and it works like a charm.

You (QNAP) really should test the Samsung drives - they are very reliable, silent and they don't cost much - so they are very common.
Think! Search :!: Ask :?:

Hello

At this point of time i'm using Samsung 500gb sata2 16mb hdd in TS-101 and it works correctly. But i'm wonder what kind of HDD will be better solution for TS-101:

Seagate ST3500630SV - 500gb 16mb cache
(designed for digital surveillance system so designed for working 24/7 with all time writing and reading)
more info: http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/produc ... 35_series/

DB35.3 Seriesâ„¢ Hard Drives?
http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/produc ... es_7200.3/

or maybe any other?

Best regards
