TS101 User...
... can use phpBB2 (http://www.phpbb.com/) by installing MySql from here(http://momo.zapto.org/MySQL/)
or install phpBB3 (http://www.phpbb.com/) what will support SQLite...
or use PunBB (http://punbb.org/) what has a smaller footprint as phpBB and works fine with SQlite

Re: TS-409 User...
I am interested to create a forum using my TS-409. Will my TS-409 be able to support phpBB2, phpBB3 or PunBB ? If yes, can someone point me to a Dummy's Guide to set this up ?PLustig wrote:... can use phpBB2 (http://www.phpbb.com/) by installing MySql from here(http://momo.zapto.org/MySQL/)

Yes, I have read and I have also tried the first few steps but there were some differences. For example, I don't have privileges to add database, there is no option to change the password for the admin etc. That's why I am thinking is there something missing from the firmware that is loaded into the 409.

Re: [HOWTO] Use PHP & MySQL to Create a Forum on QNAP NAS?
I'm just trying this but when attempting to install I get the following error:
Warning: mysql_error(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /share/HDA_DATA/Qweb/phpBB/db/mysql4.php on line 330
(and the same for line 331 - these seem to return error codes 'message' 'code'
What is wrong ?
Thanks
Issue has been solved, I managed to create the forum (I went through the whole process again) but I still don't know why I did get these messages.

Re: [HOWTO] Use PHP & MySQL to Create a Forum on QNAP NAS?
I am trying to install a phpBB2 on my qnap-109.
And it seems that i have successfully installede everything.
I can login as Admin, and just triede to create a test post... seems to be working, but i can't access the administration panel. Then it just times out.
Has anyone triede this before, and know a solution to this, or should i just try to re-install the whole phpBB2 or 3, and create a new database ?
