It would be nice to have a choice in Guest Access Right: Write only and read/write.
For example if i have an upload on my ftp and want people only to upload not delete.

Did you find a solution to this problem? I have a similar issue with Active Directory Authentication to File Shares.

Great - an almost seven year old post.
What exactly do you want to achieve ref. "Guest Access Rights"?
Note there are neither Windows nor POSIX ACL to control <delete> - if a user can write, he can remove the file in general, too - that's all you can control using the local as well as using the AD based repository of users and groups, mapped to ACLs on the file system.

Doesn't the classic UNIX permission mask of "1775" still work like it did in 1960's?schumaku wrote:Great - an almost seven year old post.

Code: Select all
chmod 1775 Directory1
