Hello,
I tried to use the IP Filter to block remote connections to my TS-109 because I do not want everyone out there to access the admin interface.
But when I turn it on, also the web service is blocked!
How can I select, what service is to be filtered. I would make sense to block the admin interface by IP address, but not the web server.
Stefano
IP Filter filters also connections to web server

Dear Stefano
The IP filter will block all the traffic from the defined IP address. It is for you to discard the malicious packet.
What you want to do is to allow port 80 access of web service, but you don't want to open the 8080 (or other defined management port) of admin access. You might need to deploy your NAS behind a policy-based router or firewall with advanced IP filter function. Currently it is not available on our NAS.
Cheers,
