gday
guys i read about some problems on power failure on ts-xxx. so my question is what will happen to my nas during the power failure?
is there a defined state for the happening?
does it simply shut down or becomes it irreparably?
I m looking forward to buy a UPS by the only qnap has tested is to expensive for my taste!
regards

Hi christian,
We did power cut-off test on our NAS for a 100 times and there's no problem for the NAS to get back to normal operation. However, if the power outage comes with abnormal incoming voltage, which is very unusual, there's a chance that the server will crash (we can't guarantee tho). We'd suggest to get a surge protector or it's even better to buy a UPS (if budget is not a concern).
