Dear moderator,
Could you also please provide a sticky (for noobs) on setting up and using WinSCP on the TS-109 (FW 1.1.1). Full functionality requires a SSH (Secure Shell) server with SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) or SCP (Secure Copy Protocol) service or to a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server.
For its operation, WinSCP needs several commands: alias, cd, chgrp, chmod, chown, echo, groups, ls, mkdir, mv, pwd, scp, rm, ln, unalias and unset. These commands have to be placed in the path and user must have sufficient permissions to execute them. [More details on the requirements can be found at http://winscp.net/eng/docs/requirements.]
These commands are not found on my NAS in the default bin. But others apparently have them. [Please see the thread in this topic: http://forum.qnap.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=88. ] For that matter, I cannot find the server either. Still, I can browse through the various directories of my NAS.
In any case, WinSCP is a great program for lots of stuff (including management of web sites), so any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: I have seen elsewhere on this forum that WinSCP cannot work on the QNAP NAS servers. [http://forum.qnap.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?p=176#176.] It is too bad!!

One more request...
If you are going to modify SSHD, I want you to apply SSHJail.
This patch allow users to logon chroot environment directly.
I don't know how many people need this function, though...
Please check the page below.
