Help! What Have I Done?

Post by Rick1486 »

Hi, I don't know what I've done or how to undo it, but now when I type in the address http://192.168.x.xxx which used to take me to the login page for my ts209pro I end up with a page that is titled Web Server and is complete with instructions on how to map my qweb folder on my computer and upload files.

The only way I can get to the old (to me normal) nas login screen is by typing http://192.168.x.xxx:8080.

The only thing I've done recently after installing the latest beta f/w was play around with the how to install a forum on your nas instructions from QNAP. I've deleted everything I thought was installed as I was only trying the function out but I still don't have my original screen as described above.

Please help!!

Cheers
Rick

Hi Rick,

Have you disabled Web Server in Network Settings> Web Server page?

Hello,

To use NAS as a forum, the NAS will be configured to assign default web port (80) to web server. So after you installed forum, you should be able to access your forum by just typing the ip address of your NAS in IE browser. So this is normal, and you should type http://nas-ip:8080/ to access the original NAS user interface.

Hi, yes I'd already disabled the web server and I understand about typing the <NASIP> to access the nas interface, but before my messing around with the forum thing, if I typed <NASIP> without the :8080 at the end, it used to actually take me to the front page of my router, now it takes me to a page entitled Web Server with the instructions as to how to set up my own website and upload my webpages to the share Qweb.
So I've obviously done something to alter things but I don't know what.
I've disabled web server and mysql in the admin interface, and I've deleted the phpbb folders from within Qweb folder and still I get this.
Or is it something to do with the new beta firmware?

Please help!

Cheers
Rick
