Hi,
I have a client who I set up a qnap nas for and he uses it for mainly camera recordings and the qsync functionality. He rarely ever logs into the server because he doesnt know how, so I was curious would enabling the qysync for the recordings folder and pairing that with his laptop cause any sorts of problems or overloads for the nas or laptop since its constantly recording 24/7?
Thanks
Enabling Sync for Recording Folder , Good or bad?

An interesting idea - but not something I've tried.
I suppose the question would be - how does the sync process handle open files such that SS isn't embarrassed.
But from what I recall from ages back, SS 'stages' the new files in a separate folder, which if not subject to the sync job would not be a problem.
But I'm speculating a bit.
It would be easy enough for you to try it - and check the logs and the result to confirm all is OK.

TS-431+ for storage and media and a bunch of IP cams under Surveillance Station. TVS-473 as files backup and QVR Pro.
